Mothers are notorious for taking too much or too
little responsibility for the choices of her children. In Judas' Mother – A story for every mother who feels responsible for the choices of
her children – Mary Iscariot tells her story of how she moved through
her false sense of responsibility to freedom. Mary Iscariot's son was
instrumental in the death of Jesus. His choices brought excruciating pain
to her, his family, friends, the believers, and ultimately society. Her
son made two critical decisions which lead to his own death. Those two
choices and Mary's reaction to those decisions, led her through the
darkest night of her soul.
Only through lessons learned from God, and wise and loving women, was she
freed from the burden of guilt and shame.
In sharing these powerful lessons learned from Mary, the purpose of this
workshop is so you too will release yourself from any false sense of
responsibility you may be carrying. You will learn to discern where true
responsibility ends with you and begins with your children.
The ideal is to learn to take only appropriate responsibility. Bobbi Sims
examines how the parenting lessons learned from her book, Judas' Mother,
are validated by scripture, current research, and applicable today. She
explores the many faces of guilt associated with motherhood and leads
participants through transformative processes to release both warranted
and unwarranted guilt.
